As I have mentioned before, I volunteered to help Kathy Mack from Pink Chalk Studios to proof read and test her Pencil Roll pattern. She has amended her previous pattern to make it either for 12 or 24 pencils and to include an optional flap. The flap is a great addition because it helps the pencils stay put when the roll is inevitable shoved into a childs ruck sack for example; I know I wouldn’t make one for my 4 and 6 year old without one. The pattern is really easy to follow, with lots of diagrams to help out – a perfect project for a beginner. With the holiday season approaching you could whip up a few as gifts for any art loving child you know. The new pattern is available in Kathy’s shop.

I did the same thing – it’s such a great pattern. Yours is lovely.
Thanks – when I’ve got a free minute I will take alook at your blog – have you shown your completed roll yet? Would love to see it.
